Fishing Reports |
April 29,2006 Took 2 guys out this morning out to St. Clair river. I had caught 5 by 9am. The 2 other guys had problems getting the jigging concept. Although one of them got 3 while the other 0. Was slower action today from yesterday. Boat control was also more difficult because of the wind. Same bait (Gulp worm and minnows). April 28,2006 Super day out on St. Clair river this morning. Got a 2 man limit by 9am. Used a chartruse jig with Gulp worm. 30-50FOW. Water temp was 45-46 degrees and clarity was fairly good. April 18,2006 Fished Mud Island area again today. 3 man limit from 6:30 -10:45am. Same baits as previous days. All male fish from 15"-24" Mostly 15-18". April 13,2006 Fished Mud Island again today. Caught my limit by 9am. All told 3 of us got 11 by noon. Chartruse jigs and Gulp minnows and Gulp nightcrawlers took the most. They are HOT now. If you know someone who wants to enjoy some of this fine action, I do have some nice dates still open. April 10,2006 Fished Mud Island today. Fishing was good for most boats. Looked to be mostly good eaters in the 15-18in class. Water temp was 41-42 degrees. Chartrues jig with a Gulp worm seemed to work for us. March 19,2006 Fishing reports will begin about April 1,2006. Based on the undersized walleyes caught last year, 2006 season should be a dandy for eater size walleyes. Musky, perch and bass will be as good as usual. |
